Description

3D Link HP arranges video and telemetry and command channels for small drones and robots in inconsistent radio signal conditions.

3D Link HP is based on enhanced OFDM technology that provides generating not only high spectral efficiency waveforms but also a direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) waveforms. This unique feature gives 3D Link HP an ability to maintain bitrate up to 64 Mbps in a video channel and superior robustness in a control channel. No need in separate modem for telemetry and command channel anymore.

Video channel can be easily connected through the Ethernet interface. Ethernet, RS232 or CAN interfaces can be used for telemetry and command channel.

3D Link HP advantages:

Operating distance

For drone flight over flat terrain at 50 m (164 ft) altitude and with kit antennas set 3D Link HP communicates up to 25 km (15.5 miles) in video channel and up to 35 km (21.7 miles) in control channel. For flight at 500 m (1640.5 ft) altitude range achieves 77 km (47.8 miles) and 94 km (58.2 miles) respectively.

Retransmitting mode provides range extension even in urban and industrial areas. In this mode, you can receive video from both the distant and relay drone anytime you need.

High-speed and telemetry and command channels in one device

You don't need separate modems for different functions. 3D Link HP transmits video, telemetry and command.

For high-speed channel 3D Link HP uses a high spectral efficiency waveform reaching 64 Mbps rate. For telemetry and command channel modem uses maximal robust DSSS waveform achieving −122 dBm sensitivity.

Device can be used as a high-speed modem or a modem for telemetry and command as well.

3D Link HP supports communication to several drones from one ground station. You can get video from several drones and control them simultaneously. The opposite configuration is also possible when one drone is controlled from several ground stations and send video to them.

Non Line Of Sight operating

3D Link HP, provides robust communications between drone and ground station in NLOS conditions.

Algorithms collect components of dispersed signal, arrange them and correct errors for robust control and crystal clear video.

Even at 800 km/h (497.2 mph) drone's cruise speed you can be sure of reliable communication.

    • scenario 1 — 6.1 Mbps in video channel and 85 kbps in telemetry and command channel at 50 m (164 ft) drone flight altitude: up to 28 km (17.4 miles) in video channel and up to 38 km (23.6 miles) in control channel;
    • scenario 2 — 6.1 Mbps in video channel and 85 kbps in telemetry and command channel at 500 m (1640.5 ft) drone flight altitude: up to 77 km (47.8 miles) in video channel and up to 94 km (58.4 miles) in control channel;
