Aerial photography of Moscow roads

Objective

To carry out an inventory of road infrastructure in Moscow and the Moscow Region, Mosinzhproekt, JSC set the task of creating high-precision digital orthophotos of federal highways.

The solution

The Geoscan Group carried out aerial photography of federal highways in Moscow and the Moscow Region using the Geoscan UAV. The amount of work was 1400km. 130 000 photographs were processed in the Agisoft Metashape Professional software. Based on the results of photogrammetric processing, orthophotos were built in GeoTIFF format with a resolution of 5 cm/pix.

Results

Based on the results of the aerial photography, vectorization was carried out in order to take an inventory of the road infrastructure.
